About

How headache and migraine care fits your symptoms

Headache care starts with your health history, symptom pattern, and physical assessment. We look at neck movement, posture, soft tissue, and function when those areas relate to your concerns. Care may include chiropractic adjustments, soft-tissue therapy, rehabilitation, or functional movement screening. We explain why a method fits your findings, and we adjust the plan as your needs change. Headache symptoms can have many causes. If your symptoms suggest a concern outside chiropractic care, we discuss the next step and referral needs.

Process

Steps from headache assessment to care planning

1

Share your headache history

We ask about symptom timing, injury, neck pain, movement, and changes in daily function.

2

Complete the focused exam

We assess movement and related areas. Diagnostic technology or X-rays may be considered when clinically indicated.

3

Review the findings

We explain what we found and discuss whether adjustments, soft-tissue therapy, or rehabilitation fit your needs.

4

Set the care plan

We outline the planned visits and follow-up steps. Free consultations help you discuss care before choosing a plan.

What to prepare before headache care

Bring details that help us understand your symptoms and choose a safe starting point.

  • Write down when headaches begin and how long they last.
  • Bring a list of current medicines and health concerns.
  • Note any recent accident, whiplash, fall, or sports injury.
  • Bring prior imaging or medical records if they relate to your symptoms.

My daughter was in a wreck. Dr..Reese took x-rays, referred her out for a CT scan, she worked with her daily and got her to feeling better. She went in with horrible headaches and she helped get her back to herself. The staff there is friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this clinic and Dr. Reese to anyone that needs help.

Questions about headache and migraine care

Who provides headache and migraine treatment in Albany?

Arrowhead Clinic Chiropractic - Albany provides headache and migraine treatment in Albany. Our team begins with a health history and exam, then explains care options such as adjustments, soft-tissue therapy, or rehabilitation. Individual response differs, and headache symptoms can have causes outside chiropractic care. We discuss referral needs when the assessment points beyond our service.

What happens during the first headache appointment?

The first appointment includes a health history, symptom review, and focused physical exam. We ask about headache patterns, neck pain, injury, movement, and daily limits. X-rays or advanced diagnostic technology may be considered when clinically indicated. After the assessment, we explain the findings and discuss a personalized treatment plan.

Can I get a same-day visit for a severe headache?

Same-day appointments are available for headache concerns, subject to appointment availability. Severe or unusual symptoms need careful review before chiropractic care begins. We ask about the onset, injury history, and related signs, then determine the appropriate next step. Acute injuries can also receive emergency chiropractic care.

What makes headache care cost more?

The treatment plan, diagnostic needs, and added rehabilitation services influence the cost of care. A consultation can clarify which assessment and treatment steps fit your symptoms. We explain the plan before care begins, and free consultations are available. Insurance verification or attorney-related billing assistance may apply in certain injury cases.

Can neck adjustments help every migraine?

Neck adjustments cannot address every migraine cause. Some headaches relate to neck movement or soft-tissue tension, while others need medical evaluation outside chiropractic care. We review your symptoms and assess suitability before recommending an adjustment. Tell us about new, severe, or changing symptoms so we can guide the next step.

What should I bring to my first visit?

Bring a symptom history, current medicine list, and records related to any injury. Notes about triggers, neck pain, sleep, and movement can help us understand the pattern. Prior imaging may also help when it relates to your concern. We use these details with the exam to shape a clear care plan.

Migraines that disrupt daily plans

Recurring migraines can make work, family time, and sleep harder to manage. Your symptom pattern matters, including neck tension, movement limits, and changes over time. Bring those details to an appointment so we can complete an assessment and build care around your needs.

3

Some patients want to know what happens before choosing care. We begin with a health history and exam, then explain possible treatment choices in plain language. You can use a free consultation to discuss your symptoms, ask about adjustments or rehabilitation, and decide on the next step.
